Elsevier and CAUL Consortium have established an agreement to support affiliated corresponding authors in Australia and New Zealand who wish to publish open access (OA) in Elsevier journals.

The cost of publishing OA is covered under the terms of this agreement:

Hybrid journals (APC covered)

When publishing OA in eligible hybrid journals (including eligible Lancet titles and Cell Press titles), eligible corresponding authors from participating institutions in the CAUL agreement will not have to pay an article publishing charge (APC).

Fully OA journals (discount)

When publishing OA in fully OA journals (including eligible Lancet titles and Cell Press titles), eligible corresponding authors from participating institutions in the CAUL agreement will receive a discount on the article publishing charge (APC).
